Why We’re Here

Consumers are becoming more aware of the world around them and how they are impacting the future. They are constantly changing their actions to adapt to the developing world and the current trends in the population. Recently, there has been a large interest in the global climate change and how to reduce the personal impact on the environment. This has led to an increase in the interest of sustainable practices. Sustainable practices aim to meet the needs of the people today without preventing those from meeting their needs in the future. Companies are beginning to realize that consumers are paying more attention to the decisions the company makes and less to the actual products they are selling. Many consumers are altering their purchase decisions based on whether the company is making appropriate sustainable choices in relation to their employees, suppliers and production.

Being a large fast food restaurant chain, the company produces several million tonnes of garbage each year. At the moment, McDonald’s does not have an appropriate recycling program in place and a proper program can save the company millions of dollars per year. This is where the Delphi Group comes in. We specialize in climate change and corporate sustainability. It is our goal to adapt to the changing environmental trends and become a leader in the industry. We do this by considering your current situation and practices that are in place and create a personalized plan to help the business become more environmentally conscious. We look at all aspects of the business and listened to the company’s goals and when they want to achieve them.

Proposal

McDonald’s Canada will realize an increase in restaurant recycling by purchasing our consulting services for $4.2 million. Beginning January 1st, 2018, the improvement in waste reduction will achieve an economic payback in 1 year. We have agreed to document the delivered value by assessing annual financial statements and consumer feedback. We aim to reduce waste by 3% within the first year, which estimates to be $6 million in savings. This results in a return on investment within 6 months of plan implementation.

Strong attempt at a quantifiable value proposition.

The Delphi Group is offering an environmental plan that will promote waste management practices in each restaurant across Canada and reduce the amount of waste created by the company. This reduction of waste will result in savings for the company and a more environmentally conscious business. The consultant will work one-on-one with the company to enhance the current waste management program and create an organized plan to achieve the company’s waste management goals. This plan will include a timeline and milestones to allow the progress to be followed every step of the way.

Phase One is the Initiation stage, where the consultant will meet with the business and discuss the problem to be fixed. Phase Two is the Planning stage, where the consultant will begin brainstorming possible solutions to the problem and begin to develop the plan outline. Phase Three is the Approval stage, where the plan will be presented to the business and approved. This is the stage where the plan will be adjusted if necessary before entering the next phase. Phase Four is the Implementation stage, where the approved plan will be executed in all applicable locations. The final phase is Phase Five which is the Follow-Up stage. In this phase, the consultant will check in with the business to ensure the plan is running smoothly. This is where the consultant will be able to assess the accuracy and impact of the plan to make appropriate adjustments or suggestions for other services.

The Delphi Group consultants are experts in environmental management and sustainability. We house some of Canada’s top business consultants that ensures high-quality plans and personalization. We specialize in multiple business areas which can help decrease costs in different business departments. We have experience working with large corporations and have many successful cases to represent our promises. Our main promise is that our solution will save the business money while creating a new, healthy image for the company.

Supporting Services

The initial consultation can be ordered by contacting the Delphi Group directly through phone or in person. The situation will be assessed and the appropriate consultant for the job will be assigned to the case. They will meet with you after gathering all appropriate information and begin discussing possible plans. The consultant will work one-on-one with you to develop the plan to meet your needs and goals. Once the plan has been approved, the timeline of the plan will be created and the financial estimates will be determined. Once the plan has been approved and implemented, the consultant will continue to touch base until the final goal date has been reached. At this point the plan will be assessed and adjustments will be made if the results were not achieved. This adjustment may also occur throughout the plan implementation if the consultant realizes the expected results are not happening. This will be done at no extra charge since we guarantee our success.

Our team will help your company create any business materials needed to pass along to employees or outside locations. All fees associated with the service is included in the quoted price. A list of all services included will be provided and we would be happy to adjust the list if needed. Training will be required once the plan is entering the implementation stage. The training would be for all corporate individuals and restaurant owners/managers. This is to ensure that everyone is on the same page and there is no confusion on how to implement the plan. This training will be done in person by the consultant to the corporate individuals. Then a training team will be assembled to train all district managers, who will then continue to train their store owners and managers. As mentioned before, the company will always be welcome to contact the consultant after the plan has been implemented to give updates or inquire about alternative or additional services.

Pricing

The price paid for the service includes all phases of the transaction. The average cost of a consulting project is $3750.00 per business location. This price also includes any applicable support costs, training and installation of the chosen plan. The Delphi Group offers discounts to businesses that have over 5 locations included in the service plan. For the McDonalds contract, there are 1400 locations in Canada that will use the waste management plan. Since there is more than 5 locations, a project price of $3000.00 per location will be offered to the business, which results in a savings of $1.05 million for McDonalds.

An initial retainer of 25% is due upon acceptance of our service. The remaining balance is due Phase Four is complete. The business is able to pay in monthly installments or pay the full balance at the end. The full detailed outline of the price will be discussed in the sales agreement. Once the sales agreement has been created, the business has one month to accept the contract until it is considered void.

Promotion

The relationship between the Delphi Group and McDonalds Canada will be promoted on both company websites. Since there is a history between the two companies, a relationship has already been established and promoted by the company. The consultant in charge of the project will be available throughout all phases of the project to answer questions or address concerns. The consultant will act as the sustainability expert that can visualize and solve the problem as a whole and offer the best solution. Communication will be maintained with the client through phone calls, email messages and face-to-face meetings. Throughout each interaction, the consultant will be building the client’s profile and adding any important information that will be useful throughout the project. The more interactions that occur, the stronger the relationship will be. The main focus of the personal selling will be to successfully complete the project, while providing opportunities for future transactions.

Conclusion

The Delphi group will be able to provide a valid waste management solution for McDonald’s Canada. This plan will be able to provide McDonald’s with a large amount of savings each year after the waste management plan has been implemented. The fair price promotions for each location will provide even more savings for the company. During your first meeting, the consultant will provide more detail about the sales agreement and plan outline. Before the meeting, be sure to fully review this sales proposal and note any concerns or additions you wish to make. Please contact your consultant via phone or email if you have any questions or concerns before the first meeting.

We look forward to working with you.

A cover letter or letter of transmittal would have improved the submission but in any case the proposal should have a signature block and the sales person identified.

A stronger call to action would have been to set the date for the face2face but you did request the proposal be reviewed before meeting.
