II. Analyze the Causes of the problem and its Limits
A. Analysis of the difficulty
1. What, specifically, are the facts of the situation? “29 percent of Americans either married or in a relationship acknowledged the current political climate was causing tension with their partner” “The study also found that more than one in ten Americans (11 percent) has ended a romantic relationship over political differences. That number increases among millennials with 22 percent having broken up with someone over polarizing political views.”
2. What, specifically, are the difficulties? A difference in politics is now often seen as a difference in morality. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2019/09/political-party-morals/597517/
B. Analysis of causes
1. What is causing the difficulties? When boundaries that were set up in the beginning of the marriage are crossed. One may try to start getting the other to see it their way, and convince the other to change their opinion.
2. What is causing the causes? Political polarization has risen significantly, morality has become more partisan https://greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/what_are_the_solutions_to_political_polarization
