Problem Statement:

Individuals are experiencing depression during their years as Social Work students.  Research Question-

How does vicarious trauma affect Silberman students today? Hypothesis:

Silberman social work students who experience vicarious trauma are more likely to suffer from depression than those who don't. Study Population-

Students enrolled in The Silberman School of Social Work. We will conduct studies from students.  Sampling Plan:  1. Conduct study amongst Silberman students Information needed: ACE score and maybe depression screening.

2. Amount of people surveyed- 60 people.  Each member of the group will be responsible to have 15 students participate in the study.  3. Tabling at the Silberman campus, Facebook groups, briefly announcing at the beginning of class at Silberman about our study and asking students to complete it.  Pros:  Samples are social work students who most likely experience vicarious trauma. Cons: Some students may feel uncomfortable participating because he/she/they are our peers.  Students may also refuse to participate because there is no incentive.  We would be using non-probabilistic sampling since it will NOT be random. We have a certain criterion we are seeking and it is voluntary to whomever is a student that would like to participate.
