Taco Bell in London and the threaten to Taco Bell

Background

Taco Bell is an American chain of fast food restaurant, which is based out of Irvine, California. Taco Bell was found on March 21, 1962 and it is about 56 years history.(Tom, 2018) During these 56 years, the Taco Bell rapidly expanded and right now it already opened all over the world, especially in the England. Taco Bell already has 28 locations in the U.K. and said that recent openings in the country have “received tremendous fanfare.”(Jonathan,2018)

This year, Taco Bell came back to the London market. In order to satisfying London people’s taste, Taco Bell changed a lot from the store’s decorations to the food packing.(Teresa,2018) However, Taco Bell will face bigger competition in the London. This is the reason why Taco Bell came back to the London market. Recently, more and more London people are interested in the Mexico food. So eating Mexico food is popular in the London people daily life. At the same time, many other Mexico food fast restaurants appear, such as, Chipotle, Tortilla and Wahaca.

Also, there is another big challenge for the Taco Bell is the United Kingdom Brexit. If the United Kingdom Brexit, it will influence Taco Bell cost. Taco Bell has more expensive food materials and other cost.

Problem statement

Taco Bell will face two big challenges in general. The first one is that Taco Bell has many competitors in London and the second one is that Taco Bell may get fewer profits because of the increase of the food cost. At the same time, the United Kingdom Brexit influences the food cost.

Alternative solutions

Firstly, at the same market situation, Taco Bell can give more lower price to the customers in order to achieving more sales. Every single taco price only cost about 3 dollar. If Taco Bell gives 2 dollar per taco, more and more customers will choose Taco Bell rather than the Chipotle or other similar restaurants. More sales will lead to getting more profits.

Moreover, Taco Bell puts more attention on the great advertising. They can print more brochures to send to people who walk in the street. Also, they can sponsor some big events, such as the football games ore basketball games. In this way, they can let more and more people know the Taco Bell. And then, the sales of the Taco Bell will increase and better than other competitors.

Finally, Taco Bell own better customer service and put more effort on the stuff who are in charge of communicating with the customers. When some customers feel the food is not delicious or not fresh, our service has kind attitude to solve this problems. They can reproduce the food until customers satisfying and give them discount for the bill. If the customers receive pleased service, they will tell their friends and families. More and more people will choose Taco Bell. The satisfying of the customers is the best advertising and advantage.

Recommendations

The best solution for dealing with the trouble for competitors and the United Kingdom Brexit to the Taco Bell is lower price. Reducing the price of the food is the most efficient way to attract customers and improve the sales. Most of people will choose the lower price food when their choice are similar in food typing. Lower price is also the most direct way to attract many customers. Because the Taco Bell unit price of the item is cheap. The sales of the Taco Bell is more important to the whole company’s profit. In this way, Taco Bell achieves more profits. At the same time, more profits solve the problem of the competitors and United Kingdom Brexit, which lead to the cost increased.

Program Performance Metrics

When Taco Bell improve the advertising and customer service management as well as adjust the price of the single taco, the profits will increase than before. However, the company has to calculate carefully to the cost and profits. They have to consider the increase of food materials because of United Kingdom Brexit and the cost on hiring people and advertising fees. After considering about these, the profit still increase and higher than other fast food restaurant. Then it is successful method to solve this problem.

What I have Learned from This Critical Analysis Exercise

Taco Bell in London is a competitive fast food restaurant. Because Mexica food is more and more popular in London people life. The feel of competitive mostly come from two parts: the other competitors Mexican fast food restaurants and United Kingdom Brexit. Taco Bell has already found ways to solve this trouble, but how‘s the effect we still need time to attention the Taco Bell.
