Section 1: Annotated Bibliography

· Nguyen, E. (2017). Hong Kong food culture — Hong Kong cuisine tells the historical story of the whole land. Retrieved from https://livingnomads.com/2017/10/hong kong-food culture/

The article presents information that is not biased. Nguyen has conducted research that has focused on getting information from some of the people in Hong Kong. The aspect of taking data from the targeted persons is proof that biases were eliminated. Considering that the article was published in 2017, it is evident that the information is up to date. The source is primary and this because the process of collecting data was practical. The information has been collected from people in Hong Kong as well as hotel owners. Therefore, the information will add to the research.

· InterNations. (2018). Country Facts about Hong Kong. Retrieved from https://www.internations.org/go/moving-to-hong-kong/country-facts/food-in hong-kong a-culinary-capital

The article has eliminated biases by involving diverse researchers to file the information. At the same time, the article is a material of an organization, and it is unlikely for an organization to promote biased researchers. The material is a primary source, and this is the author has first-hand information about Hong Kong and its culture of food. The information in the article is accurate, and that means that it will be used to furnish research with more credible data.

· Klenk, J. (2017). 9 Characteristics of Hong Kong’s Food Culture. Retrieved from http://www.lavielohas.com/food-culture-hong-kong/

Biases have been eliminated, and this is because the article has directly focused on the characteristics of Hong Kong food culture. The author of the article has a background in Hong Kong, and that means that the author is reliable. The article is a primary source, and this is because it provides tangible evidence to every claim. The information will help in providing more insight into the culture of food in Hong Kong.

Section 2: Topic

The topic that will be focused on in this speech is "the food culture in Hong Kong." Hong Kong stands as one of the fascinating places globally, and that attracts attention. The rich food culture of the Asians is evident in Hong Kong, and therefore it is imperative to inform people about the food culture in Hong Kong (InterNations, 2018). The general purpose is to inform the people all over the world about the food culture in Hong Kong. The specific purpose is to make sure that people know more about Hong Kong not only from a technological perspective but also from the perspective of food culture. The central idea is to add to the knowledge of the people about the culture of food in Hong Kong.

Section 3: Talking with the audience

The consideration that I will need to make about the topic is the availability of materials to support it. Research needs enough evidence to back up the hypothesis. The audience is more likely to be appealed by online content when it comes to supporting evidence. The reason behind it is associated with the fact that the audience comprises of mostly the young persons and they have access to the internet. Therefore, it will be easier for them to confirm the authenticity of the supporting data. The problem that is related to the topic is a generalization. Hong Kong plays host to many Asians, and therefore people assume that everything in Hong Kong follows the Asian culture entirely (Nguyen, 2017). The assumptions are far from the truth, and this is because the effects of the British Colonies are evident in Hong Kong's food culture (Klenk, 2017). The call for action is for researchers to stop generalizing and purpose to collect data from the people of Hong Kong.
