This is an example of what an Annotated Bibliography looks like. There are two components: a full citation and an annotation. The sources should be listed in alphabetical order as they would appear on your bibliographic page (for MLA and APA) or in the order you will use them in your paper (for CSE and CMS).
First, cite your source using your handbook. Next, note if it is a scholarly source or not and how you know this. Then, underneath it, write an annotation. Your annotation contains two things: a summary of the source and where/how you will use it in your research paper. Last, tell me specifically where in your outline the source is listed to be used.
These citations are in MLA format—change the format to match your style if needed.
