A real estate development company has hired you to help them make the transition to using Excel in their office. They would like to list properties they are interested in acquiring in a workbook. You’ve started a worksheet for this project that contains labels but no data.

Open the file EX 1-3.xlsx from the location where you store your Data Files, then save it as EX 1-Real Estate Acquisitions.

Enter the data shown in  Table 1-4  in columns A, C, D, and E (the property address information should spill into column B).

Use Page Layout view to create a header with the following components: the title Real Estate Acquisitions in the center and your name on the right.

Create formulas for totals in cells C6:E6.

Save your changes, then compare your worksheet to  Figure 1-21 .
