Increased participation in conference presentations improves innovation and communication which are essential in developing research.
How are conference presentations professionally relevant?
Conference presentations provide excellent opportunities to share one’s research with a large and interested audience, receive feedback on the work, pick up tips from other presenters, and expand their professional network.
What elements of the proposal process were most difficult for you, and why?
The choice of an appropriate, pertinent, and interesting topic was one of many challenging aspects of writing the proposal. It was also difficult to find the right peer-reviewed articles that were pertinent to the topic.
What positive outcomes do you anticipate will come from this process, which may be applied to potential work settings and/or doctoral programs?
The addition of more information to pre-existing knowledge on the topic is a positive outcome of the process. Another advantage is the discovery of relevant information that can be used in future research to develop evidence-based interventions for use in work and academic settings.
