WORKSHEET 6.1A: Evaluation Planning Questionnaire

Use the filled-out Worksheet 6.1B in the book as an example to follow as you complete this questionnaire.

1. What questions will your organization’s evaluation activities seek to answer?

· The evaluation will confirm that Food For The Poor (FFP) can achieve the goal of setting an institution.

· The resources required in implementing the project which is constructing the institution.

· The likely challenges expected while implementing the construction of the training institution.

2. What are the specific evaluation plans and time frames?

a. What kinds of data will be collected?

· Administrative data.

· Sample survey.

b. At what points?

· Administration officials in the institution.

· Staff working within the institution.

· Streets in the region.

c. Using what strategies or instruments?

· Questionnaires, interviews, document analysis, notes and brochures from the organization.

d. Using what comparison group or baseline, if any?

Using previous studies as the baseline and selecting a similar group to act a a control group.

3. If you intend to study a sample of participants, how will this sample be constructed?

· A random sampling of the citizens living in Latin America and the Caribbean.

· Stratified sampling by social class, gender, education level among others.

4. What procedures will you use to determine whether the program was implemented as planned?

· Analyze the living standards of persons living in Latin America and the Caribbean.

· Statistical analysis of job creations in the region.

· Analyze changes in the Net National Product (NNP) of the Caribbean regions.

5. Who will conduct the evaluation?

· Internal staff members from the department of implementation

· Consulting external consultants who will conduct the evaluation.

6. Who will receive the results?

· Management and the implementation department.

· Shareholders in the institution.

7. How are you defining success for this program or project?

· Creation of new jobs in the regions.

· Completed construction of the training institution.

· Consistent operations within the training institution that will allow the organization to be independent.
