X. Evaluation
The evaluation process of the program is intended to follow up and determine if the
program was successful in accomplishing its goals as well as how it could possibly be improved.
In order for this to happen, the goals from the implementation section of the program must be
met or somewhat achieved to an extent. Of course, the validity of the program’s progress
depends on the individuals involved in the program, and the data based on the success of the
program will be collected through a post-assessment survey conducted through media and email.
To properly address each aspect that was covered, an extensive list of questions is included in the
survey listed and implemented below.
Evaluations will be collected primarily through the use of a post-assessment survey that
participants can take in order to provide feedback. The survey will ask questions regarding the
amount of physical activity that each participant engages in, evaluating personal food selections,
and what the program has taught them. Questions will be simple to answer and questions will
typically ask participants to rate their use of the program. These types of questions will be
helpful in evaluating how effective the program was and to determine how often people took
advantage of the resources that are provided through the program. It will also highlight any
issues or problems that may have occurred during the program and how they can be corrected for
the future. Lastly, there will be pre-assessment questions that will ask how effective the program
was and if there are any suggestions that participants have that would improve the overall
effectiveness of the program. These types of questions will help determine if the methodology of
the program was a success.
On one hand, the post-assessment survey will give us relevant insights on the
participants' perception of NEW AU as well as it’s impact on their lifestyle. On the other hand,
“NEW AU” will compare and contrast their feedback to the mission, goals and objectives of the
program. Specific indicators will be used in order to quantify and qualify each result then make
conclusions. From this process, it can be determined what worked well, what did not work and
what can be improved in future programs.
