INTEGRATING ARTIFACTS

In this final assignment, you will complete (1) a technology post survey, (2) e-Portfolio Review of your classmates, and (3) an e-portfolio artifact integration project.

Technology post survey is to help me understand your technology knowledge and online learning experience after taking this course (and thus help me improve the course for upcoming students).

e-Portfolio Review gives you the opportunity to visit your classmates’ e-Portfolio sites and provide your feedback to the sites you visited.

(3) E-portfolio artifact integration project is to add two of your class projects (class design projects, research works, field works, internship, etc.) to showcase your technology integration competency in a specific subject area chosen by you.

Selection of the specific subject area should be related to your courses (e.g., papers from gen ed course, projects from your majors, e,g., classroom behavior management, health and diet, business communication). Course from your junior and senior years is more likely to demonstrate your learning at NIU than course taken in your freshman and sophomore years.

You then decide what course works and projects you want to include in your e-Portfolio. Group projects are acceptable as long as proper credits are provided. Ideal artifacts include:

Professional projects (e.g., a student teaching portfolio with reflection)

Research papers and/or presentations that you did in the core major courses. (Examples of these types of papers include original artworks, performances, creative writing book/film summaries, reaction or reflection papers, opinion pieces, nursing care plans, and education lesson plans.)

Services, field works that you did during your internship or practicum.

Craft a rationale statement that clearly and specifically articulates how the artifact satisfies the competency in the chosen subject area, including information about why did you choose this artifact in particular.
