Eternity Teens

For this course I have chosen to create a project on a group home for teen girls. This group home will be called Eternity Teens. In my current community there are a lot of teen girls who are homeless and have little to no guidance due to their parents working multiple jobs to support the family, drug abuse, or incarcerated. The girls turn to the streets and began to wander and run into problems down the line. This non profit organization is here to help guide these lost girls into the right direction. There are short term programs or long-term programs. Short term programs will consist of the girls receiving therapy, being connected to the right sources for jobs, and receiving help with school work. The long-term program is for teen girls who needs a place to live and need more attention. The girls will receive guidance, therapy, a place to sleep, bathe, and relax if they are in school or working. This organization is for girls ages 13 – 20 years old. There is even a program for teen girls who are pregnant and need a place to live. I am looking into applying for a project grant which may include pro bono service grants. This grant will help my non profit organization effectively manage projects and run smooth. We will have the items, materials, staff, and plan to better help the young teen group. I plan to apply for at least 2-3 project grants incase one or more declines my application. I will be a step ahead. For example, The Family and Youth Services Bureau funds state, tribal and community projects in the following areas:

· Runaway and Homeless Youth

· Family Violence Prevention and Services

· Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention

I will open this nonprofit organization in hopes to reduce the number of young girls who are homeless and poor. I plan to take them in and teach and give them the guidance as they would from their own family. I plan to save lives and let every young teen that enters my group home know that they are important, and they will be successful in whatever they do.
