(B) Authenticity:  Does the essay reflect knowledge obtained from this course and your personal writing style? 7 pts.

(C) Correct grammatical style, sentences, paragraphs? 6 pts.

(D) Submitted on time? Penalty

Use your own words and be as clear as possible.

Essay 1 topic: Explain in your own words what are conjugate acids and bases. How can you organize different weak and strong acids in order of relative strength, and what does this tell you about the relative strength of their conjugate bases?   Essay 2 topic: Explain in your own words what are London forces. Why are London forces important? How do we know that London forces exist?

Essay 3 topic: Explain in your own words what is a solution in chemistry. What does it mean when a substance is insoluble in another substance? Why are some substances insoluble in other substances? How can you make a solute dissolve faster in a solvent?
