The essay topic proposed is the Sociology of Gender. The process of collecting essential resources for this topic involves the incorporation of various methods. However, the best way of collecting necessary resources for the essay topic is through the formulation of a thesis and a counter-claim that leads to ensure a complete final project.

Sociology of Gender is a broad essay topic that incorporates various sources to describe the thesis. Gender and sex have always been used interchangeably but during the 1970s gender was being defined specifically. Therefore, it will build a base for defining gender and sexuality views in sociology. It is essential to have the two terms defined to ensure that the topic is specific and related to the formulated thesis. The thesis statement that will be used in the essay topic proposal is "Gender and Sexuality have always been used interchangeably, but Gender and Sexuality have different views in Sociology.” Therefore, different sources will be utilized for this essay topic. According to Tian, the gender roles are differently presented in cultures. Therefore, the sources that will be used include study and research to present evidence-based practices concerning gender.

Another source that will be used is Gender-Role Egalitarianism. According to Braun & Scott, “Some evidence of egalitarianism was found reaching a peak and retreat. Using three different indicators for gender-role attitudes, a continuing egalitarian trend in most of the countries was revealed. In Great Britain and the U.S, this egalitarian trend is quite weak. On the contrary, in countries with previously less egalitarian attitudes such as Austria, Germany, and Ireland, there is still a considerable egalitarian trend. The differences between both groups of countries are accentuated when the item prefers is used and a flattening of the egalitarian trend in both Great Britain and the U.S. comes to the fore.”

It is also crucial to highlight gender and sexuality differences in early occupational attainment. According to He & Zhou, the gender disparity is experienced in China's capital, therefore, also reflecting on sexuality and the view concerning the issues of sociology. Therefore, the aspect of sexuality must be explained considering its view in sociology. I will ensure that I focus on sexual attitudes and practices. The aspect of sexual behaviors in sociology is an interesting subject by considering that it is culturally universal. It is also necessary to elaborate that sexuality is different among various groups.

The goal of the essay proposal is to ensure that the aspects of gender and sexuality are described according to the view in sociology. It is because gender and sexuality have always been used in various situations interchangeably. The essay topic will, therefore, be of interest to many considering that sexuality is culturally universal.
