.

NOTE: The following introduction is in reference to the upcoming essay. This outline is NOT the essay. DO NOT write paragraphs. I want to see an outline. The rough draft for the essay is due in Module 5, followed by the final draft in Module 6. This assignment is only the outline for the upcoming essay. There is no word count, but try to at least make it 3 pages.

Introduction

For this discussion board, you will compose a detailed outline that plans your academic essay, which you will write in the next week of the course. Your upcoming essay will need to be 4-5 pages in MLA format with 4-5 sources. In this essay, you will make a sound argument about the academic topic you've been working with in class. Remember: you must position yourself on one side of the debate for this assignment.

You are required to have the following elements in your upcoming essay:

(1) An introduction that introduces the topic and ends with a strong thesis. Your thesis should state your argument and its major reasons in a clear, concise manner;

(2) A background paragraph that offers your reader more information about the topic and its current debate (or relevant history);

(3) Two to four paragraphs that identify your two to four major reasons. Each paragraph should have a clear topic sentence that links back to the thesis, and you should support each body paragraph with sufficient, credible evidence and analysis;

(4) Refutation of Opposing Arguments. You should present the opposing side or potential obstacles and offer a refutation in order to convince your reader and eliminate bias;

(5) A conclusion paragraph that ties all of your paper's points together and argues an overall significance.

Assignment Guidelines

For the outline, you will NOT draft the essay; instead, you will begin to map out its frame. Please use the template below to construct your outline in a document.

IMPORTANT: Please use an outline format. You may deviate from the following template if a different outline would be more suitable for your paper. Still, use an outline format. Don't write it as a mini-essay.

Outline Template:

Introduction: explain topic briefly

Thesis: write out thesis statement

Background: write out topic sentence for this paragraph

Identify key sources or quotes that need to go here

Major Reason #1: write out topic sentence for this paragraph

Identify key sources or quotes that need to go here

Major Reason #2: write out topic sentence for this paragraph

Refutation of Opposing Argument: write out topic sentence for this paragraph

Response Requirement:

Once you've completed your outline, please submit it to the appropriate Discussion Board space. You will have twenty-four hours to respond to two peers. As you respond to peers, consider the following:

1. Does the writer demonstrate focus through a detailed thesis statement that organizes the frame of the essay?

2. Does the writer include clear topic sentences that align to the thesis statement?

3. Does the writer showcases specific evidence to support the topic sentences?

4. Does the writer seem to use credible, sufficient evidence to support each body section?

1ST PAPER THAT YOU DID ON GLOBAL WARMING

This paper will cover the topic of global warming. Global warming is a pandemic that requires more attention to survey and research to formulate and implement strategies that will help overcome this. Global warming is caused by human activities that we do knowingly or unknowingly (Al-Ghussain, 2018). The daily economic activities that we carry about each day are some of the causes of global warming. It is relevant today due to the changes and the improved discoveries that have been made through innovation. It makes sense for us to take the initiative to have strategies in place to ensure that the rate of global warming is reduced.

Global warming affects people vicariously in many different ways, such as an increase in sea levels that result in flooding, and in various geographical areas, where there is prolonged drought. All these factors are personal since the human race together with the environment suffer the consequences of it, and it's up to us to take the initiative to ensure we improve our living standards through environmental conservation. The challenge with global warming is that it requires collaboration amongst everyone in order to overcome this pandemic. Thus, mobilizing people to join in the initiative proves to be a challenge.

Information that will ensure that there is an effective argument relates to environmental factors and conservation. global warming being a global pandemic requires discipline to overcome ts challenges hence policies are required to help fight the pandemic (Al-Ghussain, 2018). The causes of global warming are some of the information that needs to be researched. Social changes affect the environment causing global warming and strategies that can be applied to ensure the problems related to global warming are looked into. The opposition that may arise from this topic includes the climate change theory. This is where scientists challenge the theory that hums activity is responsible for the change in climate (Al-Ghussain, 2018). Global warming is brought by the change in environmental conditions and this is through the economic activities carried out by humans. Deforestation, war, water, and air pollution are some of the factors contributing to global warming.
