I will be proposing an info show that focuses on disinformation as a whole for my media piece. For the specific example, I will be dedicating an episode spread on disinformation about the effects of climate change, who benefits from it, why they are content with the status quo, who is the most at risk of falling victim to said misinformation, and why they are at risk and why it is in their best interest to contribute to the mitigation of the damages Global Warming has caused.

My show will be called {to be named later}, and the purpose of {to be named later} will be to tackle misinformation in most western media and expose truths on certain topics. Each episode will basically be 20-30 minute mini-documentaries that really cover the basics of certain situations and why situations have developed to their current state. I am partially inspired in this regard by Jake Tren and John Oliver. Jake takes a very serious approach to his weekly episodes on YouTube and actually delves into key aspects of his topics. It’s very clear that a huge amount of research goes into each episode and that the editing is very meticulous from the music to the script and even the cutaways. John Oliver’s show however is a comedic talk show that focuses on the current political climate as opposed to Jake’s which mostly focuses on previous events that led to the current political climate. John Oliver makes hard news digestible.

That’s the approach going for, but I would also like to present less bias than Oliver as the audience could dig their feet deeper into their stance if they feel as though the MC is making jokes at their expense…. ((CONTINUE FROM HERE!!!!)
