OUT-OF-CLASS PROJECT
(100 points possible) (Out of the 100 points, you will get twice as many to count towards your 200 points for the grade calculation.) Writing a short research paper. You will research a news article to show an application of the theory for one theoretical concept, drawn at random. The research assignment must be done individually. You will attach an electronic file to the appropriate assignment in Blackboard via Turnitin. I will know the paper comes from you by seeing your name on your title page. WRITTEN REPORT: Students must use the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center databases to find at least one online article on some news topic from a newspaper, with that news article written in March 2017 or later, on your topic. You will write a 2- to 3-page paper concerning this topic, with the entire paper written in your own words. DO NOT include quotes!!! Before you submit your paper, at least one week before it is due, you will be responsible for running your paper through turnitin.com, to look for any evidence of plagiarism. If your report contains ANY evidence of plagiarism when it is submitted to Dr. Elkassabgi, the maximum score the case study will be scored is based on 10 points, NOT 20 points.
