Read the attached Rolling Stones article dealing with the legalization of marijuana.

Using your new-found scholarly understanding of Intergovernmental Relations and Federalism, write an essay of 3-5 pages to discuss the issues as a case study. The discussion should take the form of an analysis of the intergovernmental relations and Federalism forces at play referring to relevant theory from this course and applying it to the case. You may consider alternatives for a resolution, evaluate the issues related to those alternatives and make recommendations for a resolution from among those choices. Update what is occurring with regard to the legalization of marijuana (through your own research) and the issues dividing the states and federal government.

Be sure to accurately apply theories and theorists by name and publication from the course readings that support your analysis.

Technical:  Paper must be double-spaced, with page numbers (not including cover page and reference list). Citations and reference list must be in APA style. Paper should be 3-5 pages (not including cover page or reference list).
