CCJ 6020 Course Module Information There will be eight modules throughout the semester.

Module 1 (Introduction) and Module 8 (Course Conclusion) are one-week modules.

Modules 2 through 7 are two-week modules.

All modules open on Monday and close on Sunday.

Required module readings are provided in the introduction to each module.

Each assignment includes a comprehension quiz and a 3–5-page essay (see essay requirements below).

The lowest module score (quiz + essay) will be dropped.

Essay Expectations for CJJ 6020 Module Essays Formatting:

APA 7th edition format throughout the paper.

Double-spaced text with one-inch margins on all sides.

Standard 12-point Times New Roman font.

3–5 pages (not including title page and reference list).

Sources:

Use at least three assigned readings in your response.

All other (outside) sources must be peer-reviewed or government reports.

Include a full reference list with DOI or permalink for each source.

Content:

Address every part of the essay question (questions will have multiple components).

Demonstrate critical analysis, not just summary.

Integrate course concepts and readings to support your arguments in as much detail as possible (show comprehension and critical thinking!).

Citations:

Proper in-text citations for all references used.

Reference list formatted according to APA guidelines with DOI or permalink for each source.

Use of AI is acknowledged and cited correctly (following APA guidelines).

Academic Integrity:

Original work only; plagiarism will not be tolerated.

Paraphrase appropriately and avoid excessive direct quotations.

Less than one direct quotation per page.
