Essay 4 (PLSI) & (SLPI)
Telling from the PLSI and SLPI results, I can say that I am a visionary person or an idealist. This is because when making most of my decisions are guided by the ideals rather than the practical side of the situation. I am also a person who prefers to make my decisions from my point of view rather than considering the inputs of the others. I also don’t like socialization as a means of motivation because I believe that I am self-motivated in that I am motivated by what I stand to gain from my actions and decisions. Therefore what drives me in my actions and decisions is the need for self-growth and development (Simanowitz, 2003).
The test that best portrayed my personality is the SLPI test. This is because the test examined how I make my decisions in respect to influence from the other people who are around me and also how I react to situations which occur to people who are around me (Mroczek, 2014). The test described my personality better because I like building good relationships with other people and for there to be a good relationship between two people they have to be involved in each other lives.
My temperament helps me in my leadership qualities in that my idealist personality helps me to be a person of high integrity. A leader is a person who should have strong moral principles and be honest with his followers. My idealist personality helps to promote these qualities of leadership. People with idealist personality also understand how to bring the best out of others. A leader is a person who is supposed to influence his followers to make the best decisions and my temperament help to cultivate this leadership quality in me. When it comes to promoting my leadership qualities, one of the limitations of my idealist personality is that I can sometimes make decisions subjectively. A leader should always treat all his followers fairly and make his decisions objectively.
