Introduction

A business such as Cutting Corners Barbershop will serve as a home to customers and employees from different cultures. The process of providing customers with the opportunity to express their opinions alone will serve as a unique culture in the workplace. Few businesses use these strategies as reiterated from the proposal to create effective working environments and strengthen customer relationships. Culture clashes and differences may exist in an environment that proposes such a business culture. The description the study focuses on understanding the cultural differences that may exist in a multicultural environment that supports diversity of customers and employees. The situation above requires identifying programs relevant to the growth of the business and its adoption in other countries.

Risks associated with Program

As a multinational corporation, Cutting Corners Barbershop faces several potential risks associated with its business. The employees of the barbershop may fail to identify and recognize regional and subcultural differences. Different countries have unique cultures. Emerging markets possess regional variations regarding consumer preferences and conditions of the market. Many multinationals have always overlooked subcultures and ethnic variations. Multinationals fail to recognize cultural diversity which eliminates possibility of attracting significant consumer segments (Carlos Pinho, Paula Rodrigues, & Dibb, 2014). The second potential risk may comprise of failing to create management practices that fit the different needs of diverse cultures in the international business market. Different cultures hold unique needs and interests. Business ideas are great but their transference to other cultural backgrounds may fail to produce an effective business outcome.

The third risk may comprise of the failure to comprehend ethical and legal concerns. Multinational companies have global ethical and legal concerns. Cutting Corners Barbershop may have problems which facilitate a case. The situation may see the company losing both finances and logistics. A country such as China has a culture that allows the process of building and maintaining strong business relationships through giving of gifts. The culture is known as Guanxi. It provides a platform of motivating trust and successful business outcomes. In another country such as the United Kingdom, the culture may be different and may be seen as giving bribes to influence business stability (Lamine, 2015). In connection to the above situation, Cutting Corners Barbershop may be a multinational that involves itself in corruption and the government may take it to court, which it may lose.

The last potential risks comprise of ineffective management of cultural diversity. Diversity serves as a sword with a double-edged side. Cutting Corners Barbershop may choose to either detract from performance or improve its operations. Successful integration of diverse strategies that build on cultural understanding facilitate creativity and innovation (Valmohammadi & Roshanzamir, 2015). The Barbershop will have to think of possible ways to deal with diverse workgroups and customers to eliminate conflict.

Barbershop working in all Business Areas

Conflict is the result of failing to abide by international cultural needs and demands. Cutting Corners Barbershop has already undertaken its role in ensuring that it serves different employees and customers from different cultures. It means that any person who comes to its shop may find it as an ample environment to interact with their colleagues and to improve their social skills. Communication between different cultures is the centerpiece of the working environment. Cutting Corners Barbershop creates a feeling that motivates growth among individuals because they are free to speak out their minds and interact with the rest of their peers. The company has already eliminated cultural discrimination and conflicts. It has built trust and cohesion among its local customers.

The Cutting Corners Barbershop has strengthened its market from the concept of its operations in its proposal. Customers will visit a company and buy its products when they listen to positive reviews from other customers. With such a positive environment, the shop will attract many customers in its multinational business premises. The Cutting Corners Barbershop will have to create an environment with employees from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds for it to experience growth and great performance. The situation may see the company attracting many customers from different social backgrounds who want to develop their potential and see a different perspective of their lives.
