3) Summary of film: The summary includes enough information to help even those who have not seen the film understand the major theme of the film, but it does not give away vital information. It is brief and to the point.

4) The critical portion: The opinion of the reviewer is clear and coherent. The reader can clearly assess what the writer thinks of the film through the 3-4 aspects of the film reviewed. Critical statements and evaluative words/phrases/statements are provided throughout.

5) Incorporation of sources: The writer incorporates statements from 3 credible reviews in the critical portion of their essay. Each quote is connected to the paper through a strong use of the Five Step Procedure. The quotes used are evaluative/opinionated. Correct MLA format is used. 6) Organization/Coherence: Organized in a way that makes it easy for the reader to follow. Each Critical Portion paragraph has an evaluative topic sentence and focuses on one topic. Each example is provided to support an evaluative statement. All points from the essay are reviewed in the conclusion with evaluative statements to remind of the writer’s opinion of the film. No new information is offered. The reader is left to ponder the events that he/she has just read about (Clincher).
