Culture

The Culture that I’m familiar with is the middle eastern, because I grew up there and I

was born and raised there. It really has a different diversity than any other country in the world.

For Instance, The language, the ways of greeting each other, the food, the weather.etc. So many

people do not have the knowledge of the middle eastern history or background. there is so much

diversity over there and so much mixed up cultures living in that society. For example, there are

Indians, Pakistanian, Russians, Americans. But unfortunately the spot lights are very weak over

there in terms of media. In the middle eastern culture there are so much food specialist people

and food lovers and bloggers. Because the people are so into food since a very long time. its just

something that people grew up with and specialized it. in some cities they have restaurants in

each street more than the people that live in at that area. Also, not just middle eastern food but

food from all over the world like asian, American, Indian. etc. The most common dish over there

is the chicken over rise or we call it “Kabsa” it is super delicious and tasty. People get into

contests to prove which one has the better and most fascinating dish of Kabsa. Usually the old

ladies of each member of the family cooks it that is really common over there. thats why you can

see many people talking about there mothers or wifes dishes. And no it dose not stop until here,

but people some times get into arguments with each other because of the food or who cooked the

best Dish today. It is serious in the middle east when you say what are we going to eat today for

lunch or brunch. people get out of there own zones and start answering your questions by saying

“we got a super good restaurant down the block that is specialized in this main dish”. the Other

will be “ we got the most famous lamb cooker in our own area, and the food conversation would

take you to a very long journey if you are there.

Not only that but in the middle east people are really nice in terms of asking you to not

pay at the restaurant especially if you are a visitor. they will not let you pay for your food and

that drags us to what we call “special hospitality for visitors”

Visitors in The middle east are like lions in the jungles. by that I mean they get treated

super nicely and kindly in many parts. For instance, where to stay or who will pick you up and

drive you around the city and who will help you with anything you want . people get really

seriously when it come to hospitality for visitors from all around the world. It might sound

awkward but some people pay for the hotel stay and food and transportations for there visitors.

they really put them in the highest point. this is not something we have to do or chose to do but it

is something we have in common in the middle east. it’s what makes us special and different than

the other cultures and countries from around the glob.

I believe that culture is a thing that must be known and shown to many people across the

world because others can know the positive sides and the negative sides. People should not judge

by media and news people should read, watch, learn about the diversity around the world
