1. Find a picture from your life that is at least five-years-old. Choose an image to use for the narration essay.  

2. Read the "Writing a Personal Narrative Essay," that immediately follows this list.

3. Then, review the Guidelines and Requirements for Essay 2 document, and start the writing process.

4. Read the document: "A Narrative Essay in three parts" and "thesis statement review"

5. Start the first draft of your paper, with the understanding that it will need further work before it contains well-developed and organized paragraphs

6. Next, visit the NLC On-Campus Writing Center or submit the second draft of your Rough Draft to the NLC OWL for feedback and to ensure that you create well-developed, unified, and coherent paragraphs.

7. Review the MLA Formatting information via the "How Do I...?" tab.

8. Continue revising and working on Essay 2

9. Take a copy of your final draft to the Writing Center or submit it to the NLC OWL (Online Writing Lab) for review and feedback

10. Continue working on the Quizzes for this unit

11. Finally, edit, proof-read, and compare your essay to the grading rubric in this folder before submitting it toTurnitin.com

12. Make sure that you paste a copy of the photo you chose to the last page of the paper
