Directions: Write an essay that is typewritten and double-spaced on the questions below. Your essays will be evaluated on both their compositional and philosophical merits. Please follow the instructions that were given for writing philosophical essays for this course.

Drawing upon the readings we have read for the first four weeks of the course, do the following:

Select any one of the articles we have read and do all of the following with respect to it:

1. In your own words, identify and explain the central conclusion of the article or text you have chosen to discuss.
