Option 2

Develop a Catechesis or overall Scope & Sequence for Birth-6thGrade.

•Develop this plan in order to equip volunteers in a specific ministry setting. Declare what that faith community context is and who you are equipping

(Bible class teachers, sports ministry volunteers, inner-city daycare workers, etc.).

•The elements essential to your catechetical plan or overall scope &

sequence. What will the child understand and live by (and when)? Include enough elements of faith that we get a well-rounded picture without being overly complex (8-12 elements). Include which books of the Bible are

covered at each age-level.

•To what degree each element will be discovered/adopted by the child at each age level. If some elements will wait until a certain age, explain why.

•This plan should be presented on 11X17 paper and turned in both as a hardcopy and emailed by 3:00 p.m. the day it is due.

•Develop this plan so that it is creative, attractive and easy to follow (include items such as a chart, pictures, icons, color-coded sections, etc.).

Grading criteria will include original thought, creativity, depth of insight,

Biblical literacy and contextual awareness.

Option 3

–Develop an A/V Training Experience for Teachers/Volunteers.

•Develop this plan in order to equip volunteers or families in a specific ministry setting. Declare what that faith community context is and who you are equipping (Bible teachers, ministry volunteers, parents, etc.).

•The training should cover one of the following: a. diversity, b. child faith development or c. active discovery, and it should be geared toward your declared target audience. Include biblical foundations in your instruction.

•This training experience should be 10-12 minutes in length and submitted both on a disc and emailed as a link by 3:00 p.m. the day it is due.

•Develop this training experience so that it is creative, fun and easy to follow (include items such as pictures or charts in a vlog/video or sound effects and music in a podcast).

Grading criteria will include original thought, creativity, depth of insight, biblical

literacy and contextual awareness.
