Article Presentation Rubric

Students will demonstrate their ability to understand and convey information regarding single-subject design research in a presentation. The presentation must be recorded using the Canvas Studio and submitted by the due date along with the PowerPoint slides. For the recording, students should record their screen with their slides (not record the video of the student talking). Because this is being done remotely, students may choose to read a script they write. However, this is absolutely not the standard of professional presentation and is more like training wheels on a bike. It will be allowed this time, but students that do not use a script will be greatly appreciated!

· Introduction

· Identifies the existing research the study is building on

· Identifies the research question(s) accurately

· Identifies the specific hypotheses if provided

· Method – Participants and Setting

· Describes participants and gives relevant demographic information

· Describes anything about participants needed to understand study

· Describes setting

· Describes anything about setting that may have influenced research

· Method – Single-subject Design

· Accurately identifies the single-subject design (all components)

· Accurately identifies all DVs

· Accurately identifies all IVs

· Method – Procedures

· Accurately describes all phases of study (e.g., baseline, treatment)

· Method – Data

· Accurately describes data collection procedures

· Accurately reports interobserver agreement

· Accurately reports treatment/procedural integrity

· Results/Graphs

· Graph(s) is/are included and easy to visually analyze

· Verbal description of graph includes: X-axis, y-axis, all DVs, all IVs, and anything else needed to understand the graph
