Comments:
· I’ve made marginal notes and raised questions in your draft. Please review those in addition to my comments below.
· You have composed a good start to this project, Xinyuan! Your passion for the subject comes through, particularly as you relate it to your study of food safety in high school. Viewing the topic through this personal lens adds interest for your readers.
· You define your terms well and offer some background research. Even more specific discussion of resources would have strengthened the background conversation.
· Can you speak more specifically about your survey questions? Consider how they will help you compose an argument in your policy brief. Strategize carefully.
· Also, include a more specific discussion of how your work will impact the audience you are addressing.
· Demonstrate your awareness of audience. How does this speak to faculty choosing between research projects? Recall how the student sample we viewed addressed this group specifically.
· Above, I’ve highlighted in yellow areas that were missing or lacking in development.
· Good start!
