Thesis Statement: Environment plays a vital role in supporting life thus the need for environmental protection and conservation.

(Body Paragraph 1) First, the environment provides ecosystem services that are necessary in supporting life without human action. This refers to the processes that occur within the environment and which support human life without human being’s participation. Among the processes include climatic stability which supports human life through environment-reliant livelihood activities such as farming. Also, environment protects humans and living organisms from ultra-violet radiation through presence of ozone layer in the upper atmosphere which absorbs UV radiation (Kitadai & Maruyama, 2018). Therefore, environment supports life through natural processes that occur without human interventions.

(Body Paragraph 2) Furthermore, environment enhances safe absorption of waste and pollution produced by human life.

(Body Paragraph 3) Finally, environment has intrinsic psychological value.
