1) Introduction

Entrepreneurship development is basically a combination of skill and art which an individual will have to develop. All the famous personalities who are now the leading entrepreneurs across the world once started their career by analysing their own skills and development. The attributes that are connected towards the individual development includes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability, curiosity, self-regulation and also the entrepreneurship skills (Kumar, 2015).

All the firms in today’s competitive environment expects an individual to be creative, dynamic, innovative, leadership ability and also the strategic skills that are required. The modern economy defines the role of an individual which will take the organisation to the next level and also will help in developing the entrepreneurial skills that an individual can develop (Stel, 2014).

The real time analysis was carried out in the study using two tools which is basically the GET and AULIVE and based on the results self-analysis is carried out.

2) Critical evaluation

2.1 GET 2 results and interpretation

The Get2results will help in determining the areas and the ability that I have to become an entrepreneur. It is important to analyse the skills that I possess and also in working on the areas that needs improvement. The attributes that are getting assessed includes creativity, autonomy, risk taking ability, control and also the need for achievement. The tool is available in www.GET2TEST.net and the analysis is based on 54 closed ended questions with two options. On an overall I had achieved 69% which determines that I am occasionally enterprising and it is an important characteristic for an entrepreneur.

The results

The result shows that I had the strengths of being an entrepreneur and has 69% which portraits the enterprising ability that I possess. The Management Trainee experience that I have with Bank Nizwa which is the first Islamic bank helped me in developing the basic skills that are required. This helped me in innovating new things where the operational standards can be improved across Bank Nizwa.

There are few areas like the need for achievement that needs to be improved by doing few exercises which requires a lot of efforts from my side other than what Bank Nizwa thought me towards entrepreneurship (get2test, 2017).

Need for achievement

The result is very clear that I will have to put more efforts towards improving the ability to achieve something big. This gave me a heads-up that I will have to improve in this area a lot and especially towards task focus, proper time management and also in setting realistic goals that can be achieved. I had scored 50% which still needs to be improved (get2test, 2017).

Need for autonomy

The need for autonomy result implies that I am independent and even in terms of carrying out important tasks at Bank Nizwa I was individualistic and independent as well (get2test, 2017). With the score shows that I secured over 67% in this attribute but I love working as a team and also will be contributing my individual part as well.

Creative tendency

The creativity score shows that I am creative after securing 67% but it is something that needs to be improved. The creative that I possess is above average but needs to be improved by doing creative things on technology, critical process and also through innovative working ideas (Santarelli, 2013).

Calculated risk taking

I personally feel that greater the risk greater would be the rewards and it is an important attribute for an entrepreneur. It is always better to predict the future and based on which calculated risk needs to be taken and it remains my approach as well towards risk which is getting described through 67%.

The real time experience as a Management trainee in Bank Nizwa helped in analysing the skills that I possess. These skills by default are required for any individual who wanted to become an entrepreneur. I have a positive way of developing the entrepreneurship development and especially the skills that are required. Bank Nizwa helped me in developing the skills which includes personal, interpersonal skills, communication, leadership, self-knowledge, energy and innovation (Burns, 2014). The real time experience which I had with Bank Nizwa helped me in developing the required skills.

Education

The basic education that I possess had helped me in analysing the areas and also will serve as a platform to be an entrepreneur.

Family

The collaborative family environment where I live with a larger family helped me to understand different opinions of the members (Aulive, 2017).

Experience

Being the first Islamic bank in Oman the workplace provided me the experiences which are required to be an entrepreneur.

5) Reflection, conclusions and implications

5.1 Reflections and Conclusions

Both Get2 and Aulive results are similar where the entrepreneurship skills that I possess are average. This needs to be improved and there are areas in which I will have to work and that will help in making me a successful entrepreneur. I have the abilities which are at an average level and the real time experience helped me in improving the scores better.

5.2 Implications

There are areas in which the improvement needs to be made and it gives me a sense of confidence that I will be a successful entrepreneur in the near future. Innovation is one area that needs to be improved drastically for which analysing cases, reading books, real time situation tests and also in improving the technical skills.
