1. Standard MLA format - Times New Roman, size 12, and double spaced.
2. You will have a minimum of 5 pages.
3. You will have a minimum of 4 sources.
4. I will not except late papers. I am on a deadline, and do not have time to wait for late papers. If there is a problem with you submitting then you need to email me. Also, you will only have two attempts on Blackboard to get it right. This means do not upload your paper from your phone or tablet; you must use a computer.
5. I will refuse and will not grade any paper that is not in a Word format. I will be nice and send you an email; it's up to you to make sure I get the corrected copy. There will be no 2nd chances this time. In other words, I will not be contacting you and asking for you to come see me etc. This is your final paper/exam. I am on a timetable. Plus, this shows me what you have learned.
6. If you do not have a clear thesis statement I will not grade your paper. Make sure you have a clear thesis statement. This is one of the requirements for you to move up to the next level. If you are not sure about your thesis statement then please come see me as soon as you can. Do not wait until it's too late. Remember, I am on a timetable.
7. Do not forget your in-text citations. If you do not have any in-text citations you will not receive a passing grade on this paper.
8. Do not forget your Works Cited page. If you do not have a works cited page you will not receive a passing grade on this paper.
9. You are to choose The Tell-Tale Heart and write how the narrator is faced with the following:
A. Morals/ethical choices
B. Decision Making
C. Consequences.
In other words, how do these three principles play a role in the life of the narrator or even the story? Your thesis statement should reflect these three things. Also, the first sentence in your body paragraphs (which is the topic sentence) should relate to this as well.
