English 5 annotated Biblio

Write 5 annotated bibliographies on climate change regarding why it is creating harm to the environment. You will need to use 5 resources for this annotated bibliography.

The annotated bibliography is basically a "fancy" works cited page. It is the sources you found as you did your research, formatted like a work cited page, but also with a summary that says what the source was about and why it is useful to your research.

The purpose of it is to get your research done and read all of your sources as you prepare to write a research paper or do a research project. Because you can't start writing if you haven't done any research, right?

So that is the basics.

So, then you'll start your research. You'll find five sources, and they can be anything like a website, a scholarly article, a documentary, a Youtube video, a TEDtalks, books, newspapers, etc. When you find the five that you think will help you write your paper, you'll use those for your annotated bibliography. The key is to make sure that they are credible sources, and if they show bias, that you point that out.

After you are done with your annotated bibliography, hopefully, you'll be ready to start writing on the research that you just did. Now, because you have your annotated bibliography, you won't have to sort through all those sources again. You can use that as a reference to work from.

One important note: An annotated bibliography is not a works cited page. It is completely separate. In theory, when one is working on a major research project, they will compile an annotated bibliography that has many sources (for example, they might have 20 sources for a large scale research paper). When you write your actual research paper, you might not use all 20 of those sources in your paper. Therefore, you won’t need to put them all in your works cited page. A works cited page is still expected at the end of your research paper.
