Thesis: My father always reminded me that having a good character will ensure that you live a smooth and better life.

1. My father always reminded me that I needed to respect all people, whether they were older or younger than me.

· Respecting other people enables you to relate better with them

· I remember a time when a boy younger than me insulted me in front of his friends at school and I had to walk away to avoid a fight.

· Respecting other people is helpful because it prevents you from getting into situations that may put you in trouble.

2. Being kind to everybody is a very important value that I not only learned from my father, but also from the way I saw him treat everyone around him.

· Kindness is a the most powerful life value that I have learned in my life

· Kindness has on several occasions enabled me to help people in need.

· Kindness enabled me and any other person to respect humanity and to be there to those around us when they are in unfortunate situations.

3. A good character is surely very important if anybody is to be a person of better contribution to the society.

· A good character generally makes one a better person

· It has always enabled me to make positive contributions to my society

· Being respectful and kind to other people in our community has not only enhanced a smooth life, but has also made me a better man in the community.
