Assignment 5 – ePortfolio Revision Project Due: Wednesday, Dec. 9th at 11:59pm Assignment Weight: 15% Assignment Description This assignment consists of two parts. In part one, you will revise one of your previous assignments (summary, argument, or synthesis) and produce a revision letter explaining and reflecting on the ways in which your paper evolved through each stage of the writing process. In the second part of the assignment, you will create your ePortfolio WordPress site and upload both the revised essay (artifact) and revision letter (reflection) to the site, along with a completed “About Me” section. This assignment asks the following of you:

• Write fluently and grammatically in a range of academic forms and genres

• Demonstrate information literacy skills

• Document source material using professional styles such as MLA

• Apply techniques for revising and editing

• Produce a foundational e-Portfolio Assignment instructions:

• Consult Lesson 10: Revision for instructions and tips about the revision process. Make sure you have made substantive as well as grammatical changes to your assignment and that you have addressed the feedback and suggestions given to you by your instructor. Don’t forget to update your in-text citations and Works Cited page.

• After you have completed your revised assignment and proofread it extensively, write a revision letter using the format provided in Lesson 10: Revision. Each paragraph should address the specified topic.

• Next, consult Lesson 11: ePortfolio to prepare your WordPress site. You will need to create an “About Me” bio page; upload an artifact (your revised assignment) and provide a caption explaining the importance of the item, it’s title and date; and upload a sample of reflective writing (your revision letter).

Assignment Evaluation: About Me page and overall E-Portfolio Writing is clear and free from grammatical errors; the purpose of the E-portfolio is clear to the reader (the purpose is to communicate one’s goals and development as a person, student, or professional). A picture either of the student or an image that represents the student has been included. If the image is not the work of the student, a properly formatted MLA citation has been provided. Learning Artifact/Revised Assignment The artifact is described with a caption that indicates the title, date, and significance of the artifact. The revised assignment shows both substantive changes and grammatical and mechanical corrections. There are no errors with MLA formatting, both in-text citations and Works Cited. The revised assignment demonstrates an understanding and application of instructor feedback. The revised assignment shows significant improvement. Reflection on Learning Artifact/Revision Letter Reflections are thoughtful and build persuasive cases for their conclusions. Each paragraph covers the topic laid out in Lesson 10: Revision. The reflection has been properly formatted as a letter, using a salutation and a valediction.
