MAKE SURE TO CITE ALL THE SOURCES USED

A ) INTRODUCTION:

For many years I have had been deciding what type of engineer I want to be, in my consideration there was mechanical engineer, civil engineer, structural engineer, and even chemical engineer. After a lot of research both online and in person with my peers and my teachers, I decided that I wanted to study mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering is the umbrella of all types of engineering. It is the application of the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering from design to manufacturing to the marketplace for any object.[1] The basic goal of any mechanical engineer is to take the idea of any designer and make it happen, always keeping in mind that this idea should be designed to satisfy human needs. Many of the roles and tasks that mechanical engineers have to take on can include climate change, space exploration, energy consumption, transportation etc. As mentioned before the job of a mechanical engineer is not only to bring to life whatever idea someone has but also to satisfy human needs, meaning that mechanical engineers also design projects and objects and bring them to life, covering everything in the process, from the design to the draft to the first prototypes to the final product, overcoming difficulties on the way, testing different types of materials and modifying the original idea.

B1) Automotive:

Inside the big umbrella of mechanical engineering there is a wide variety of engineering disciplines that are more closely targeted once you become an engineer. One of these is automotive and its industry. The automotive industry is one that has been on continuous growth for the past century or so. From the model T of Ford to the latest Tesla, the automotive industry is a major sub-discipline. Automotive engineers work most if not all of the time in a team consisting of other types of engineer to achieve a goal which is mainly the production of a car. This goes from designing the car taking into consideration aerodynamics and structural strength of each of the pieces, manufacturing and how it would be built, marketing and how it would sell in the market and the biggest and most important of all which is satisfying human needs when it comes to cars.

B2) Aerospace:

Another important sub-discipline that mechanical engineers can take into consideration for their specialization is aerospace engineering, or simply aerospace. Mechanical engineers are needed in many places but they take a very important role in the aerospace industry. While they are not the ones flying to outer space, they are the ones who make sure that the astronauts make it there safely.  These Mechanical engineers working on the aerospace field have a main job which is the development and manufacturing of both aircrafts and spacecrafts. These could work for example at an airport or might even end upworking for a big factory like American Airlines fixing planes and designing, prototyping, and building their airplanes. They could also go work and focus on military equipment which can be both on land and in outer space, there are many ideas surrounding the idea of military in outer space, this would lead us to a dire need for more mechanical engineers in order to satisfy the need of the people.
