There are five tasks associated with Reading Vocabulary:

Dictionary Work: (10 points)

1. Define the word using dictionaries

2. Identify the word’s function (verb, noun, adj., etc.)

3. Find two (2) synonyms for 10 of the 20 words

Writing Work: (10 Points)

4. Write a sentence for each word that is at least eight (8) words long

5. Write a 100 word paragraph using five vocabulary words demonstrating meaning and function

This assignment must be hand-written and will be collected on Friday before the quiz. Definitions are checked Tuesday. It is worth twenty (20) homework points. Please study these words more than ten (10) minutes before the quiz!
