Differentiate between the following epistemic phrases, (Total 7 marks )

“I guess… vs. I bet…”. 

write an essay using 300-500 words.

 Your answer should include the following details.

· What is an epistemic phrase and what is the function/use of it? 2 Marks

· Explain the use and the context in which the phrase “I guess” is used. Provide at least two examples. 1 Mark

· Explain the use and the context in which the phrase “I bet” is used. Provide at least two examples.1 Mark

· Using of “I bet” instead of “I guess” (or “I guess” instead of “I bet”) can change the intended meaning of the speaker. Describe problems the above situation can create using an example.  2 Marks

· Using of correct grammar, punctuation and spelling  1 Mark

· Your answer should be in an essay form
