Over time technology has been instrumental in increasing industrial and agricultural production, improving transportation and communications, advancing human health care, and improving many aspects of human life. However, much of its success is based on the availability of land, water, energy, and biological resources of the earth.

Technology has enhanced living standards; however, it depends on natural resources.

Paraphrasing.

According to Pimental, technology has intensely value-added our standard of living due to its optimistic influence on most areas of our lives. He restraints, however, the technology progression is reliant on natural resources.

Based on my research, quoting is the most appropriate approach since it explains and analyzes the passage carefully for the reader to understand the complicated impotence of the course.
