Argument

In my paper, I have chosen an advertisement that was used for advertising a newly founded hospital. The advertisement was all over social media, and there was a billboard that was erected where it was almost obvious to be seen by everybody because of the colors and fonts used in writing it. The advertisement had a lot of ethos, pathos, and logos, and all these were to persuade all the people to in case they feel they are sick, they can always run to that hospital, and they will be in a position to get the best services in town. One very persuading thing that caught my attention was that a top-rated doctor known in almost the whole world was used in the advertisement, which gave me a lot of confidence in the hospital, (Ramer, et al, 2019). 

Thesis

There are many health issues present in our communities. One that is very challenging is mental illness since people do not want to talk about the things they are passing through, which is making many go into depression. My thesis statement was to curb mental illness in our society because of the many challenges. For example, young people are engaging in drugs and other acts of criminal because of mental illness. Many people are dying because of depression.

Audience

The advertisement targeted many audiences because all the people in one way or another can be feeling sick. Society, however, is aware that there is the existence of mental illness s. but how they view mental illness s are very different from what professions think that mental illness is. The community associates mental illness with running mad; however, this is a very adverse mental illness stage. When a person has stress, at one point or another can help be mentally ill. Anyone can be mentally ill. Through an advertisement, the hospital offered free counseling and advice-giving to anyone who was feeling distressed, (Firth, et al, 2019).

Professional analysis

From some collected statistics, many mental illness cases have made the majority of people run into depression. The cases are on the rise because many social challenges are happening in our societies, such as the loss of jobs and high poverty rates. There also other very many factors that are associated with suffering from mental illness which have been proved by psychologists.

With all those challenges, the people need to eat and afford basic needs; when a person is not acquiring them, that’s where mental illness starts, (Araya, 2019).

Student analysis

There is increased advertisement usage because advertisements make people change how they think about a certain thing, individual, or activity. Therefore it is the most effective way of communicating. When there was an advertisement on free counseling, many people went to the hospital, and they talked about specific issues that they were going through. From this, however, I do not know the exact lives that were touched but am sure a good number were helped so much, and through that, the goal of the advertisement, which was to help the society, was attained, (Araya, 2019).
