DRAFTS due at beginning of class on TUESDAY!
What is the purpose of the thesis?
Purpose of the thesis is to
Make a claim about your topic- in this case the claim is whether or not the film meets the criteria
Provide reasons for your claim- in this case the reasons will be the four criteria that we set. Did your film meet the criteria?
What should your thesis contain?
*The title of your documentary
*Where you would place the documentary on the rubric (Exemplary, advanced, meets, approaching, does not meet)
*The reasons why-- Why does it fit under those criteria?
Example:
The documentary “Blackfish” meets the criteria for an advanced documentary because of its use of reliable interviews, variety of screen shots, factual information presented and clear purpose from beginning to end.
