Research paper for English 101

You will choose a short story and analyze it using a critical approach and two academic secondary sources.

Step One

choose ONE story to write about:

A Death by Stephen king

Stanville by Rachel Kushner

The Sniper by Liam O’Flaherty

Step two

Use any TWO Zizek’s terms of Subjective, Symbolic or Systemic violence in any of these short stories. Think about how to implement it.

Step three

Find Two Academic articles peer reviewed, that can be applied to your story.

The essay should consist:

MLA formatting style

Introduction

Thesis statement

Body paragraph

Conclusion

References

The essay should be double spaced in 12-point font, Times new roman and no longer than 600 words.
