[MUSIC PLAYING] SPEAKER: Welcome to week seven, where you will complete your last lab in this course. In the week five lab, you explored the normal distribution of heights. In this lab, you will construct confidence intervals to estimate the population height based on the sample you selected, along with the 10 heights that your instructor provided in week five. To complete this lab, you will need the week six Excel spreadsheet. You will need the 20 heights that you used to complete the week five lab, which consisted of the 10 heights you gathered and the 10 heights that your instructor assigned. Please reach out to your instructor if you no longer have the 10 heights assigned. Remember to treat the 10 heights that you gathered and the 10 heights that were assigned by your instructor, as one sample for your population for this lab. Please visit the week seven lab page in modules, and download the week seven lab template. To begin this lab, please read the two articles provided to familiarize yourself with how confidence intervals are applied. Summarize what you have learned from both articles. In week five, you determined the method of collecting heights for your sample, in this weeks lab, you will explain the disadvantages of using this type of data collection. What other types of data collection could you have used and how might this have affected your study? What is the population represented by your sample? Use the week six Excel spreadsheet. Select the confidence interval tab, to create a 95% and 99% confidence interval to estimate the population mean. Now complete the week seven lab, and reach out to your instructor if you have any questions or concerns. [MUSIC PLAYING]
