It is important for leaders to control their temper. Keeping emotional intelligence is important in ensuring leaders trust and listen to their staff. Emotional intelligence is important in shaping a leader; there are five factors which help in emotional intelligence. Self-awareness, self-regulatory, motivation, empathy and social skills are all important in 3ensring emotional intelligence. It is important to learn emotional intelligence since it has enabled me to understand my temper and that of people around me. It is therefore necessary to learn emotional intelligence since it aids in ensuring management success.

Ethical leaders lead by example, It is clear that ethical leaders guide, inspire and nurtures employees. Ethical leaders always focus on employee success as their responsibility. In modern world, key leaders focus on their morale and 3et3hics in carrying out business. It is important to study leadership ethics since it has made me understand that am supposed to respect et3hical beliefs and dignity. As ethical leader I will always pursue r3ight things even whe3n they hurt.

Emotional intelligence is important in business environment. Acquir3ing higher emotional intelligence helps in ensuring a better communication promotes team work and problem solving between people. High emotional intelligence is important in ensuring good customer relationships. Entrepreneurs with high emotional intelligence ensure motivation and satisfaction of other employees. Ethical leadership is important in a business organization since it ensures employee integrity w3hich promotes trustworthiness and encourages subordinate staff to 3obey the vision of a business organization.

Loved leaders are caring and have mutual connection with employees and therefore they fail as a leader. It is difficult for employees to be connected with loving leaders since they do not share their emotions.

2. How do you feel about developing the emotional qualities of yourself and other people in the organization as a way to be an effective leader? Discuss.

It is very essential to develop emotional intelligence since it will help to understand my anger and temper and that of people within my organization. It is important in ensuring employee trust and improved customer relationships.

3. Leaders at several organizations, including Hostess Brands (Twinkies), Sbarro, and Blockbuster, have gotten significant raises or bonuses shortly before the firms filed for bankruptcy. The companies have argued that it was a necessary step to keep managers during a difficult time. Do you think this is a legitimate argument from an ethical standpoint? Discuss.

It is unethical for leaders to engage in record manipulation in order to report high bonuses. It is wrong for leaders to engage in dishonesty behaviors which later lead to their organizations being declared bankruptcy.

4. One finding is that when leaders are under stress so that fear and risk increase, they tend to revert to an authoritarian, command-and-control style. As a leader, how might you find the courage to resist this tendency?

As a leader I will use leadership skills learned in business management education. I will further consult with leadership coach to help in curbing the situation. I will use emotional intelligence skills in order t3o control my intimidating behavior.
