Emily’s Discussion

Information Technology (IT) is an enabler because it plays a big role in a business being profitable and competitive (NSTEC, 2022). IT is important in creating a safe business space by inventing security processing and managing communication throughout a company. By having an IT department the company is able to expand its outreach and create a larger platform. The reason technology is so loved is because it allows things to be more efficient and accessible. 

One of the biggest jobs in IT is whoever is the digital leader. They are the people heading the process of changing and upgrading technology for a business. This is becoming more popular as technology is becoming more prevalent in the business world. Technology is accessible to everyone, but having a good team that is leading the IT department can make a large difference when trying to adapt and shape technology within a company. 

I believe that in the next 15 years the job that will be most dominant is software security. I think that as more people use and develop technology, and it becomes more common, there will be more need to hide software and information. As people become more comfortable with technology I think there will be more attempts at breaching a company. This is why security personal will become more beneficial.
