Decision-Making Models for Technology Adoption at El Encanto

Overview: A restaurant (El Encanto) you’ve worked at for years as a manager, is considering using new technology. There are 3 technologies to choose from: A Digital Kiosk, a Tablet for Servers, or a New Android Operating System. There are many different ways to make decisions. These are called "Decision Making Models." Some models are Rational and some are Non-Rational. In this project, you will select two rational decision-making models and 1 non-rational decision-making model. You will come to a decision about what technology El Encanto should use 3 times using the 3 different models. For EACH model, you will need to apply the details about El Encanto and use the models your research to make the decision. 

Deliverable (1): Email to Managers: In attachments, show two rational decision-making models with the specific steps labeled, as well as an elaboration of your thought process with each step and the inclusion of nonrational decision-making factors.

Repeat the steps for paragraph #2 with a second, different, rational decision-making technique from the list.

PARAGRAPH #4: CONVERGENCES/DIVERGENCES

Write a paragraph explaining how the 2 rational models that you have described above converge (aka how they are similar) and how they diverge (aka how they are different).

PARAGRAPH #5: NON-RATIONAL DECISION-MAKING MODEL

· CHOOSE one non-rational decision-making model: Non-Rational Decision-Making Models

· DEFINE your chosen model, you may need to do a Google search to find more info about it

· APPLY your chosen model to EACH of the 3 possible technologies that El Encanto could choose

· Make sure to consider time, scope, and cost

· DECIDE which of the 3 possible technologies El Encanto should choose based on THIS model

· DISCUSS how the non-rational models differ from the rational models

· What makes non-rational models more flexible?

· What do non-rational models take into account that rational models do not?

PARAGRAPH #6: FINAL DECISION

Based on all the information above from the 3 different decision-making models that you discussed, choose which of the 3 different technologies El Encanto should adopt and explain why it is the best choice. Make sure to reference information from your models to show that it is the best choice.
