ellipses, THesis Statements, Quotes

Directions:

· Create a literary analysis thesis statement (start with since, although, because, unless).

· Use three quotes from the book to support your thesis statement. Must include in-text citation, such as (Stein 58).

· Format each quote using the Quote Sandwich Method AND use the ellipsis rules.

· Sandwich Method has 3 parts, including: 1) Introduce the quote (signal phrase), 2) quote and in-text citation, and 3) explain the quote.

· Use the PDF for rules on how to properly use the ellipsis and for example literary thesis statements. NOTE: Your thesis statement and quotes must be based on the novel we are reading for this class.
