CNN vs FOX news: Which one is better?
Digital media is very popular these days more than any other news resources such as newspaper, TV, radio or magazines. If at least maybe 17 years ago we could leave without digital media and could easily get our news from newspaper or TV now times are different. When we want to check out the news, the first thing we do is go on the internet, to check it what’s going on in the world. Now we can find internet anywhere on our phones, tablets, laptops, computers, etc. Two of the biggest web news platforms are Fox News and CNN news.
One thing people should know is that like any other news platform such as newspaper, magazines or TV news web news need to be written with accuracy, clarity, efficiency, and precision. Some of the words though on the web could be taken lightly or wasted (Stovall, 2014). If we look at FOX news and CNN news both platforms seemed so similar though there a lot of difference between two news platforms. One important thing that is different between CNN and the Fox that FOX report a lot of news that is not true and they don’t give the whole story on it, where CNN news always covers every single detail in the news (Pew Research Center, 2002).
While looking at the both websites, I can easily tell that the CNN news written with accuracy, clarity, efficiency, and precision. Fox news doesn’t have those characteristics, even though Fox news is the most popular platform. While looking at it I noticed that Fox news has a lot of polls and they don’t have news all the way, but CNN talks about every single detail in the article. So with that being said I believe CNN is better platform.
