Importance of Print Media
Print media has been around for the longest time now. It has been around since we were born or even before our fathers, mothers were born. Print media was the most popular media before web media came and pushed the print media aside. “Compared to the web, the print is slow, difficult and expensive. Newspapers are no longer use their newsprint and printing presses to give the world an initial look at what the know. They use Web” (Stovall, 2014, p. 85).
I do like the web like many other people because you can find anything out there, but in my opinion, it makes you so addicted to the electronics that you forget what’s important. Print media is important because of daily newspaper or magazine part of our life. We cannot start our day without. It’s our daily routine to wake up early, read newspaper and drink cup of tea or coffee (Rahman, 2014). I remember always sitting on my chair when I was little, and I enjoy so much reading newspapers or magazines. I don’t know why, but it gave so much joy, I liked looking through pages, I liked to read an article, and that’s how I gain so much love for writing and reading. I feel like reading print media is so more peaceful and calm, then go on the web and search what out there. I believe since everything on the web now people become lazier. Even for example if they would need to make a brochure they will just go on the internet, find and printed out, instead of creating it on their own. People need to start going back to the old days where no one knew what web is and print media gave everyone joy.
Hopefully one-day individuals will understand that reading print media is more interesting, fun and educational, than spending the whole day looking at the internet.
