Literature Review
The issue of the influence of technology on the human life has a broad history and has always been the topic for discussion over years since technology keeps on changing now and again with new inventions every day. Technology has therefore over time brought about new forms of telecommunications like mobile phones, emails, video calls and many more others (Marangunić & Granić, 2015). All these inventions have enabled the human beings to communicate effectively with one another thereby eradicating the issue of distance and time as a challenge towards effective communication. This communication is therefore advantageous not only to our interaction but also it is effective for business and education. There has been advancement in the cultural education through the interaction of students from one region to another through telecommunication and sharing more concerning cultural issues.
Despite this benefit of technology concerning the communication and sharing among friends, it is important for people to acquire a balance between the actual world and the cyber (Marangunić & Granić, 2015). Given that technology is this much beneficial in the society, people should be careful not to end up ignoring those around them physically by spending a lot of time online. Communication through the social media is adventurous and fun but on the other hand, it affects our social skills (Madakam, Ramaswamy & Tripathi, 2015). Therefore, spending quality time in talking and sharing with family and relatives physically is more important and entails quality happiness for a person.
In the ancient times, home entertainment used to be merely as it was taking place, through the pictures mounted on the walls concerning the activities that happened on the past and memories for remembrance. But in the current world with the introduction of technology on mobile phones, the internet and televisions among others, that has now been a thing of the past. Technology has enabled the shift from videotapes to DVDs and CDS. Through this, there has been a lot of information being stored in this medium which includes films and music for continuous daily entertainment (Madakam, Ramaswamy & Tripathi, 2015). This has also ensured that the information stored cannot be easily lost or damaged as it were in the past.
The modern technology has also brought about a positive influence on the human lifestyle. Actually, nowadays people have machines in their homes that are automated something which has made life much simple safe and organized. In addition, technology has also enabled the activities like automatic locks for doors, lighting systems, security cameras thereby enabling homes to be safer and secure than ever. Also, the home lifestyle now is easier and simplified due to the internet which enables people to acquire all the information they need online and even shop online from the comfort of their homes.
We cannot ignore the fact that technology has a great hand in the tremendous changes in the healthcare system. Many hospitals have now implemented the modern technologies in their hospitals including the theatre operations rooms something that enabled the reduction of the mistakes made by doctors while conducting operations (Madakam, Ramaswamy & Tripathi, 2015). Also, this technology has enabled effective changes on the way people access medical treatment facilities from even at their homes through the implementation of machines which enable people to monitor their conditions, weight and seek for the right medical care. Actually, the advancement of technology has enabled doctors to effectively share and consult with one another through the video calls, emails, cell phones and even though the information on the internet.
