Profile

I am a person who is highly responsible for anything that I am doing. Like being punctual both in time and my work, because this is the only way I can meet objectives that I set each day I start work. I am given to changing the education system and in bringing positive changes that can make the system better for both the learners and the teachers. Over the past years, I have been involved in deep research that is aimed at inventing new and better ways of teaching especially to the children with special needs who need special attention. In addition, I am highly disciplined ensuring that I team with the rest of the relevant stakeholders so as to make the system better. In addition, following hierarchy is one thing that I so much observe due to the fact that it can help me to reduce conflicts with both the high and lower administration.

Personal statement

Due to the fact that I am highly trained in this area, I am sure that I can work with excellence in any area that I am employed to do. As an online instructor for the international program, TutorABC, I have attained first-hand knowledge of working with students from different backgrounds. In working as an instructor for students with Intellectual Disabilities (IDs), I gained different techniques and life skills, a sense of what works with verbal and non-verbal students, and how to ensure their learning needs are ultimately met. I have learned more from international scholars and students with IDs than from any class or study I have acquired. I am currently enrolled in this course to fulfill my credit hours, however, I do plan to learn different life and educational skills I will be able to apply and teach as a Greek-Life coordinator. An educator teaching in higher education should always seek various ways to relate to all their students, learn to build quick rapport, as well as always strive to provide learners with a positive and engaging learning environment and to be willing to distribute and receive constructive criticism related to the lessons. As an educator in the 21st-Century, I would like to learn additional techniques, educational games, and skills that relate to students on the collegiate level.

Projects

Change Leadership for the Differentiated Educational Environment 2018

· The project aimed at using Project-Based Learning in teaching Children with Autism and mental problems. This project helped me to come up with new ideas on how to teach these children with special needs.

How the teachers’ learners’ relationship affects performance 2017

· This is a project that ran for four months aimed at knowing how relationships affected learning. It helped to generate ideas on how to keep a positive relationship so as to help learners develop confidence and self - esteem.

How psychological disorders affect learning 2017-2018

· Different children lack an ability to perform better because they are mentally retarded.

· Most of them have mental disorders

· They lack concentration in learning and anything else

· This project aimed at knowing the reasons why mentally affected children performed dismally

· It also aimed at knowing how mentally retarded learners can be helped to perform better.
